2015 Community Youth Leadeship Club (CYLC) Camp - July 20 - 25, 2015, TAMU - Commerce
The purpose of Community Youth Leadeship Club (CYLC) Camp is to give direction and guidance while building confidence through enhancing communication and team building skills in aspiring Chinese American youth. To prepare Chinese American young leaders for the main stream community and reinforce their pride in being Chinese American. The application will be open on January 12, 2015. 2015 MathComp/MathFun and Parenting Seminar - June 6, 2015, Collin College Spring Creek Campus
The Annual MathComp/MathFun and Parenting Seminar is the flagship CIE/USA-DFW youth program attracting participation of about a thousand students, parents, educators and volunteers each year. This goal of this grand math fair is composed of 3 events: (a) a math competition, (b) a math fun fair and (c) a parenting seminar. The main goal is the simulate interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) subjects within the youth at their early ages.
2015 Leadership Assessment and Mentoring Program (LAMP) - March 28, 2015, University of Texas at Dallas
This event is especially designed for graduating university students and young professionals who desire to enhance their knowledge and hand-on experience on hiring process, career development, corporate culture, and leadership. The event is free and open to the public. All are welcome to attend.
2015 CIE/USA-DFW Skyrise Challenge - VEX Robotics Tournament - February 7, 2015, Rice Middle School, 8500 Gifford Drive, Plano, TX 75025
CIE/USA-DFW will be hosting the VEX Robotics Tournament - Skyrise Challenge at Rice Middle School for the middle school and high school categories. The VEX Robotics Competition offers teams of students that are tasked with designing and building a robot to play against other teams from around the world in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test on the playing field as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more. Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels; local champions go on to compete against the best in the world at the VEX Robotics World Championship each April!

These features include content creation/publication, event registration, payment/fundraising, newsletter creation/distribution and membership management. Can we build and support such high demanding features by volunteers without professional IT background? This workshop will discuss on a state-of-the art cloud based content management system (CMS) and compatible plug-ins that help to achieve such a goal.

The 25th Anniversary Annual Convention is a celebration of the services that CIE/USA-DFW has delivered to the DFW community, and to affirm the partnership we have with industry, universities, government and community in which our members live and work. The theme of the convention is "Smarter Data, Smarter Energy, Smarter People", and will feature technical tour, international symposium, VIP reception, evening ceremony and technical forum.

Young Achiever Award (YAA) promotes and recognizes exceptional academic excellence in STEM, and active involvement of extra-curricular activities and community services of the youths. The award is to recognize students of 10th and 11th grade with top academic achievements at school, outstanding engineering and science accomplishments, demonstrated leadership and active involvement of community services. The award will be presented at the CIE/USA-DFW 25th Anniversary Annual Convention evening banquet at Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel on August 16, 2014.
