In this position he leads Oncor’s technology strategic planning\, R&D efforts\, and technology implementation. He held various field management and engineering management positions in T&D\, primarily in the transmission and substation area of Oncor and its predecessor companies. \n  \n  \n \nDee DeLuca\, Panelist \nWith 20 years of experience in human resources for Fortune 500 companies in the financial\, hospitality and bio-medical fields\, Dee DeLuca is working in the aerospace industry as a human resource professional at Raytheon in McKinney\, X. She has coached company presidents to front-line leaders to hire\, develop and retain top talent \n  \n  \n \nMichael Guo\, Panelist \nMichael Guo is an assurance manager in the Dallas\, Texas office of McGladrey. Michael has worked with a wide variety of middle-market companies\, including manufacturing\, retail\, restaurants\, technology\, services\, and real estate industries. Michael has served as audit manager on several large engagements including clients with revenues exceeding one billion dollars\, including a U.S. subsidiary to a publicly listed Chinese telecommunication company. \n  \n  \n \nRishi Gupta\, Panelist \nMr. Gupta is a Senior Patent Attorney in the Dallas office of Fish & Richardson.  Mr. Gupta’s technologically diverse prosecution practice involves electrical engineering\, telecommunications\, optics\, mechanical engineering\, and power systems\, software\, and business methods.  His clients include Fortune 500 companies\, universities\, and solo inventors.  Besides\, Mr. Gupta is running the summer internship program for the firm and is experienced in recruiting new associates and technical advisors. \n  \n  \n \nJon Nelson\, Panelist \nMr. Nelson is HR director of AT&T.  He is responsible for all Management and Non-Management Staffing for the Network and Consumer Call Center Business Units. These two workgroups make up over 115\,000 employees within AT&T and support the growing U-Verse product set and Network build-out functionalities. \n  \n  \n \nDavid Partido\, Panelist \nHaving 33 Years at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics\, Mr. Partido served as Senior Manager of Organization and Leadership Development\, Senior Manager of Manufacturing Training\, Senior Manager of Customer Training\, with profound experiences in training\, designing at all Lockheed Martin Aeronautics sites. \n  \n  \n \n  \nYi Zhao\, Panelist \nDr. Zhao is Vice President of Huawei (USA) and previous President of CIE DFW Chapter. During his 25 year experience in telecommunications and IT industries\, Dr. Zhao has been in various leadership roles of company’s operation\, research and development\, sales and marketing\, industry standards\, business strategy and development\, intellectual property rights\, as well as the company’s public and industry relations. \n  \n  \n4) Location\, Campus Map\, and Parking Information \nUniversity of Texas at Dallas is location at 800 West Campbell Road\, Richardson\, Texas 75080. DESCRIPTION:The annual MathComp is a very popular math competition\, providing young students of Grade 1-7 the opportunity to demonstrate their math problem solving skills. It is designed to encourage the young generation of the CIE community to achieve academic excellence\, to participate in extracurricular activities and community services\, and to develop leadership skills in the early stage of their life. The YAA program achieves these goals through special recognition of the students who have demonstrated high level of excellence in the above areas\, through recommendations from the various sources with which we could evaluate their achievements. This particular recognition has proven to be very beneficial to the YAA recipients in their applications to colleges and universities\, as well as a powerful credential for their careers down the road. \nThe Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE) DFW Chapter is kicking off the 2010 YAA program this week. The 2010 YAA Committee of CIE/USA-DFW is accepting applications from May 10\, through July 12. Interested parents should encourage their students to apply for the YAA Award\, to effectively increase their credibility in the college application process. The CIE membership is open to all working professionals in the fields of science\, technology\, engineering and management. \nEligibility: \n\nThe applicant must be enrolled in the 10th or 11th grade in a DFW area high school during the Spring 2010 semester.\nThe applicant’s class ranking must be within the top 10% in the Spring of 2010.\nThe parent of the applicant must be a current member of CIE/USA-DFW Chapter. This is a key program in our portfolio of CIE Youth Programs\, intended to encourage our youths to explore\, to experiment\, and to see fun in science and engineering. \n  \nPart 1: Opens to students from 8th to 12th grades: Engineering Project Competition. Five (5) projects are available for contestants to select. \nPart 2: Engineering Fun\, open to students from 1st to 7th grades\, also the older students who do not prefer to build the projects at home. Ready-Kits will be provided to contestants to build to the specifications on site\, and add on their own creativity. \nRegistration is now open through May 15\, 2010. For information on the registration process\, project descriptions\, competition rules\, eligibility\, location maps and other instructions please download the attached documents below.
