2022 DFW Youth English Speech Contest, In-Person, is Back in June!

 

 

The goal of the contest is to stimulate young students’ interests, and boost their confidence and competence in public speaking by providing an opportunity for them to enhance their speech skills. For over 10 years, the Texas Dragon Toastmasters Club has organized this annual event to serve the DFW community. Every year, over 100 students from 1st to 12th grade register for the contest, and hundreds of parents, educators, and volunteers are involved in making it a success.

We are proud to announce the Youth English Speech Contest will return to an in-person format this year!

Registration details:

Early registration ends on Sunday, June 12, 2022.

Regular registration ends on Sunday, June 19, 2022.

Contest details:

Who: All 1st to 12th graders (as of Spring 2022) in the DFW area.

When: Saturday, June 25, 2022, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM CDT.

Where: Davidson Auditorium, JSOM, UT Dallas

Information about workshops:

Two free workshops will be hosted to help participants prepare their speeches. All contestants are eligible to participate in the workshops.
The workshops are open to the public, but seats are limited and available on a first come first served basis.

Workshop 1: June 04, 2022, 2:00PM-4:00PM CDT, TI Auditorium, UT Dallas
Workshop 2: June 18, 2022, 2:00PM-4:00PM CDT, Davidson Auditorium, UT Dallas
