CIE-USA is proud to announce the launch of the 2026 National AI-Generated Content (AIGC) Video Challenge, a national program that invites students and professionals to use AI-generated video to address real-world challenges through creativity, engineering thinking, and meaningful impact.
This competition is designed for middle school, high school, college/graduate school, and professional participants. Entries may be submitted by individuals or teams of up to three members. Participants may choose to compete in a higher division than their current grade level or academic standing, but they may not compete in a lower division. For team entries, the team must compete in the division of its highest-grade or highest-academic-level member.
The program encourages participants to go beyond abstract or purely imaginative concepts and instead create videos grounded in actual engineering problem solving with real-world impact. Participants are also encouraged to draw from their own experiences, communities, and observations to tell authentic and compelling stories.
Submissions may be entered in one of the following categories
- Health and Wellness – Improving the quality of daily life for ourselves and others
- Science and Technology – Changing the world one innovation at a time
- Community and Culture – Bringing people together through shared experiences and heritage
- Other – Showcasing innovative ideas, challenges, or opportunities beyond the listed categories, and demonstrating how engineering, creativity, and technology can contribute to a better future
Video length requirements
- Middle School and High School: 2–3 minutes
- College/Graduate School and Professional: 3–5 minutes
