  • 2013 CIE/USA-DFW Fall Technical Symposium

    The event is to help professionals who are interested in understanding of cloud and current trends, and who want to jumpstart their career and practice in cloud computing. A network time is also planned for professionals to network and socialize. A variety of topics will be covered from foundation to advanced, including: Cloud framework, Cloud 2.0, Microsoft Cloud Architecture, practical IaaS, PasS, SaaS such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon ECS, data center characteristics, network management, resource management, Hadoop & MapReduce for big data, platform virtualization, storage virtualization, and network virtualization. With such a short orientation, you will be given a map for the journey to adventure the territory.

  • 2014 CIE/USA-DFW MathComp/MathFun

    Collin College Spring Creek Campus 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, TX, United States
    The Annual MathComp/MathFun and Parenting Seminar is the flagship CIE/USA-DFW youth program attracting participation of about a thousand students, parents, educators and volunteers each year. This goal of this grand math fair is composed of 3 events: (a) a math competition, (b) a math fun fair and (c) a parenting seminar. The main goal is the simulate interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) subjects within the youth at their early ages.

  • 2014 CIE/USA-DFW Youth English Speech Contest

    The DFW Youth English Speech Contest will be held on June 28, 2014 (Saturday) at Collin College Spring Creek Campus. The registration is now open until June 20, 2014. We are honored to have Jim Key, Toastmasters International World Champion of Public Speaking 2003, to give a demo speech at the Award Presentation Ceremony.

  • 2014 CIE/USA-DFW 25th Anniversary Annual Convention

    The 2014 CIE/USA-DFW 25th Anniversary Convention is a three-day event featuring an International Technology Symposium, VIP Reception, Dinner Banquet and Energy Executive Forum. The Convention will be held from August 15 to 17, 2014 at Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel (900 E. Lookout Dr, Richardson, Texas 75082, USA).

  • 2014 CIE/USA-DFW 25th Anniversary Fall Technical Symposium

    The symposium is held in conjunction with the Annual Convetion and will gather seventeen experts in the field of big data, internet of (every)things, energy systems, smart grid and leadership to discuss the current emerging technology and soft skills. The symposium will feature a keynote session, and three parallel sessions on \"Smart Data\", \"Smart Energy\" and \"Leadership & Career Development\". The symposium is free and open to the public, but registration is required. The symposium will be held at Renaissance Richardson Hotel from 1:00 to 5:30 pm.

    The Energy Executive Forum will be held at 7:30 am - 12:00 pm on August 17, 2014 (Suunday) at Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel. The main goal is to discuss the emerging energy technology, such as smart data application in energy systems and smart grid.

  • 2014 CIE/USA-DFW Leadership Assessment and Mentoring Program (LAMP)

    The goal of the Leadership and Career Development Seminar is to encourage the graduate students and young professionals to foster leadership skill development and initiate the planning of their career for their long term career path development. The event will feature 3 speakers from broad background discussing leadership and career development from different perspectives. Important skills will also be recommended.

  • 2014 CIE/USA-DFW Retirement Planning for Technical Professionals Seminar

    The goal of this seminar is to discuss the retirement planning especially tailored for technical professionals. Often, technical professionals are not thinking ahead for their retirement planning, this seminar will provide effective suggestions from three aspects from the experts. The seminar will cover the professional developement, financial planning and healthcare. The seminar is not only for retired professionals, but also for professionals who would like to learn more about the planning prior the retirement.
